I am working fulltime in online marketing covering social media, ppc, seo and affiliate marketing and am thinking of doing a programming course so I can develop software apps for mobile as well as developing dynamic websites?

I have recently started a merchant services company and have used the pay-per-click ads of Google, Yahoo and MSN. I would have to say that the results have been less than impressive. How do you get to your customers? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I am frustrated in attempting to learn about Internet advertising. I have an idea for a local website, that I expect would have relatively high traffic locally, and not rely on Search Engines to bring visitors.

I do not have a product to sell, but an interesting service to provide on the website. I can't figure out how to profit from the potential traffic generated. The affiliated programs seem to only have very modest revenue returns.

I may have potential to 'sell' local advertising on this site, but have no idea what I could expect that to be worth? I know esoterically, it's worth what they'll pay, but I'd love some real life examples.

I'd be appreciative of realistic knowledgeable responses from those with experience in this type of website. I'm not looking to become an instant millionaire, but on the otherhand this site will require a lot of time to maintain, and I need it to be worthwhile of my time.
